Curriculum design & alignment strategy

This year-long curriculum map intentionally integrates the Franklin Covey Leader in Me (Level 2) framework with Common Sense Media Digital Citizenship and AI Literacy lessons for 2nd grade. Frontloaded in Terms 1 and 2, digital citizenship and online safety principles are directly paired with core leadership habits (such as Being Proactive, Beginning with the End in Mind, and Circle of Control) to ensure students build strong foundational online habits from the start of the school year.

Schedule accounts for Wednesdays as minimum days, non-student staff development days, fall/spring parent-teacher conference weeks, and school holidays per the 2026–2027 Cold Spring School calendar.
